For the first time IDT Animal Health presented itself as a bronze sponsor with its own stand at this year's meeting of the International Pig Veterinary Society (IPVS), which took place in Chongqing, China, at the beginning of June.

From June 11 to June 14 2018, the 25th International Pig Veterinary Society Congress (IPVS 2018) will be held in Chongqing (China). Topics are sustainable pig farming as well as the global issue of swine epidemics.

Europe’s most important scientific meeting on Porcine Health Management just met for the 10th time in Barcelona, Spain. More than 1,800 veterinarians from Europe and also some collegues from overseas joined the invitation from May 9th to 11th.

IDT Animal Health contributed to the meeting as Gold Sponsor and also scientifically: A total of 18 scientific contributions were presented this year. Topics covered neonatal diarrhoea, edema (oedema) disease, influenza and salmonella.

The pharmaceuticals company intends to use this takeover to continue expanding its herd-specific vaccine business

IDT Biologika continues to expand its business with herd-specific vaccines. With the acquisition of “Dr. Felgenträger & Co. Öko-chem. und Pharma GmbH” – a company based at the BioPharmaPark – the vaccine specialist is planning to expand and extend the segment for the manufacture of herd-specific vaccines. The agreement on the takeover of Dr. Felgenträger at the Dessau-Roßlau location was signed at the end of March.

Leipzig veterinary congress with new visitor record

For the ninth time, Leipzig welcomed the participants of the Leipzig Veterinary Congress to the new exhibition grounds last week.

With around 5,400 interested visitors, the previous year's record was broken once again, which clearly underlines the importance and great popularity of the event in specialist circles.
