Diseases

Most of the infectious diseases that affect cattle lead to depressed performance. Vaccines protect!

Bacteria are an important cause of disease in cattle. For example, they are often at the root of mastitis, diarrhoea, fertility disorders and hoof diseases. Together with viruses, they frequently lead to respiratory diseases such as enzootic bronchopneumonia (EBP). As a secondary pathogen, they are sometimes involved in skin diseases. However, fungal skin infections such as Trichophyton verrucosum play the main role here.

In the field of bovine vaccines, IDT Biologika Animal Health offers the manufacture of autogenous vaccines. These inactivated vaccines are manufactured using a disease pathogen isolated from a particular herd and are used only in that herd.
