Leipzig veterinary congress with new visitor record

For the ninth time, Leipzig welcomed the participants of the Leipzig Veterinary Congress to the new exhibition grounds last week.

With around 5,400 interested visitors, the previous year's record was broken once again, which clearly underlines the importance and great popularity of the event in specialist circles.

Between readings, practical seminars and the largest exhibitor fair of its kind, Vetexpo, visitors were able to obtain intensive advice and further training on various topics - this year, IDT Biologika therefore focused on old and new topics at its exhibition stand. For example, visitors were able to find out about edema disease in pigs or about autogenous vaccines.

The hyperimmune serum also attracted a lot of interest: it works against parvovirosis and cat flu and is now available again. In addition to the lively exchange between colleagues and individual interest groups, the African swine fever (ASF) played a major role at the congress. The rapid proliferation and the associated approaching threat provided for a lot of discussions among all participants.

Despite these serious issues, dancing traditionally took place on Friday evening. The evening event in the Moritzbastei was bursting from the seams: With around 1,200 guests, all tickets were sold out weeks in advance. And so the night became day in the rustic vaults: until early morning they celebrated and danced in a relaxed atmosphere. A successful event that will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2020.

If you cannot wait until then, the IDT Biologika welcomes you on February 23rd and 24th, 2018 in the Stadthalle Bielefeld at the bpt Intensivfortbildung.

We look forward to your visit!
