V. Data processing

a) General

1) Scope of processing of personal data

We only process personal data of our users if this is necessary to provide a functional website as well as our contents and services. The processing of personal data of our users takes place regularly only after consent has been provided by the user. An exception applies in those cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for real reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by law.

2) Legal basis for the processing of personal data

Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU Data Protection Ordinance (GDPR) serves as the legal basis.

In the processing of personal data required for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.

Insofar as the processing of personal data is required to fulfil a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR serves as the legal basis.

In the event that the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Article 6(1)(d) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing.

3) Data erasure and storage time

Your personal data will be stored until the purpose of the cooperation has been achieved. This is usually the provision of our services that you have requested. This means, for example, that we send you a newsletter until you have revoked your consent, or that we keep the data of your user account (name, login, occupation, etc.) for as long as you maintain a user account with us. A detailed explanation of the processing of personal data is given in V point b. Furthermore, data may be stored if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or other provisions to which the person responsible is subject. The data will also be deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.

The internet pages of IDT Animal Health use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on a computer system via an Internet browser.

Many websites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. This is a unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters through which Internet pages and servers can be assigned to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the visited Internet pages and servers to distinguish the individual browser of the person concerned from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. A particular Internet browser can be recognized and identified by its unique cookie ID.

By using cookies, IDT Animal Health can provide users of this website with more user-friendly services that would not be possible without cookies. Furthermore, registration on the IDT Animal Health website is only possible by means of a cookie.

The person concerned can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time by means of an appropriate setting of the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Furthermore, cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all common internet browsers.

If the person concerned deactivates the setting of cookies in the Internet browser used, not all functions of our Internet site may be fully usable. This includes in particular the registration and thus the inspection of information protected according to the Therapeutic Products Advertising Act (HWG).

4) Log files

For logging purposes, the confirmation of the data protection declaration is recorded. This only applies to users who registered before 25.05.2018. The deletion of user profiles is also logged. The following data is collected for this purpose:

5) Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC ("Google"), to analyse and optimize our online offer. Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offer by users is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Pseudonymous user profiles can be created from the processed data.

We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymization enabled. This means that Google will reduce the IP address of users within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

The IP address transmitted by the user's browser is not merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the online offer and the processing of this data by Google by clicking here or downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

We integrate the maps of the service "Google Maps" of the provider Google LLC. The processed data may include, in particular, IP addresses and location data of the users, whereby a location is not collected without consent (usually within the framework of the settings of their mobile devices or by confirmation in a pop-up). The data can be processed in the USA.

GGoogle is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).
